Meet Charlie Halford, Co-Host and emcee for the event. You may recognize him from several film and television credits including: NCIS (CBS), Law & Order (NBC), S.H.I.E.L.D (ABC) and True Detective (HBO). He has also had the privilege of working with some of Hollywood's most prestigious directors: Rob Reiner, Lawrence Kasdan and Steven Soderbergh, to name a few.

Charlie has a strong tie to military, a huge heart and sincere compassion for the men and women who have sacrificed so much for the freedom we enjoy. He is thrilled to lead an evening of entertainment to benefit a cause he strongly believes in and to be back to his roots in Salt Lake City - among many friends and a community he loves!

Sina Amedson

Salt Lake City's prodigal son returns for "A Story For Another Time" and to headline Wiseguys Comedy Club - Thursday November 12th!
6 years ago Sina Amedson left Salt Lake City to chase a bigger piece of that American Pie.  Known locally for being the foreign guy Nader in the runaway Halestorm hit Church Ball and the guy who made you think twice before swimming in public pools from his No Crypto Utah PSA, Sina decided to swing for the big pinata and head to the gold coast.  In that time he's won Best of the Fest at the San Luis Obispo Comedy Festival and been featured in the Middle Eastern Comedy Festival as well as the Burbank Comedy Festival.  He's landed roles on TNT's Southland and ABC's FlashForward.  Then he returned to Utah like MacArthur to the Philippines with his huge Sundance hit, Circumstance, which won the Audience Award at the festival and got him nominated for an Independent Spirit Award.  Most recently Sina has been chosen by the Jim Henson Studios for their diversity puppeteer program and has been given tutelage under the legendary Kevin Clash (aka Elmo) where he sometimes gets mistaken for one of the Muppets because he's so furry.  Now Sina returns to where it all began in West Valley, Utah with stories and observations from his journey that will have you laughing non stop at his wild ride.  You do not want to miss this event!

Cory c. Dangerfield

Cory is a well respected and accomplished performer and artist. Among his many successes, he is also one of three local actors to win our Monologue Monday competition. We are excited to see him perform a monologue, share his story of overcoming trauma and grateful for his generous contribution to our silent auction. Over a period of 40 years, the artwork of Cory C. Dangerfieldhas graced the walls of numerous private collectors nationwide. Most recently he received an Award of Merit from the Springville Museum of Art ( 2009) for his painting 'Stansbury Island with Cow'. His painting 'America' was purchased and included in the Salt Lake County Permanent Art collection, through the National Arts Program. Versatile in a wide variety of mediums and styles , his first love remains the hand built replication of ancient pottery using found clays and mineral pigments, fired in the great outdoors. More of his work can be seen through his website www.corycdangerfield.com.

Carlie Young

Carlie Young is a senior and Theatre Performance major at Westminster College who has earned such roles as Eponine in Les Miserables, Brooke in Noises Off!, and Trincula in The Tempest, among others. Recent film credits include the award-winning short film “Far Away” and the upcoming web series Afterlife, which will donate all proceeds to Operation Underground Railroad when it becomes available on Vimeo on Demand. Last May, she helped start Bowed Bough Productions with some of her classmates and starred alongside one of them in the company’s premiere production, “Waiting,” at the first annual Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival. She is looking forward to devoting more time to her professional acting career and creative talents—such as writing—upon her graduation in the spring of 2016. She is extremely grateful to Yolanda Stange and Tara Norton at Radical Hospitality Theatre for offering her the opportunity to perform for such a tremendous cause alongside such truly talented people.

The Food

Chef Christian Kubak

Chef Christian has worked professionally in the Salt Lake City region since 2003, as well as being a culinary school graduate from the class of 2008 UVU Culinary Arts program where he has received numerous competition medals as a student as well as a professional. He grew up with a father who is also an Executive Chef, so being in the kitchen has always been a natural way of life. He is now striving to help the youth of the Utah culinary scene, and considers it an enormous honor to be invited to help with the growth of the many ProStart teams within the State of Utah. He is excited to join RHT in honoring our veteran community, and looks forward to taking part in many more events to come.

Chef J. Looney

Professionally, I have had the privilege of cooking in some of the finest restaurants in Utah from the Metropolitan in SLC to The Prairie Schooner in Ogden.  I am a private chef.  I love cooking for my clients supporting their small or large gatherings in their own homes. I also work for the College of Health at The University of Utah, and I’m lucky enough to teach one of the most popular courses on campus, sharing foods and cultures from around the world with an incredibly diverse group of students.

Personally, I cook. I eat. I share my passion of food with everyone I meet.

This is Melody's second time performing as a part of "A Story For Another Time" and we couldn't be more excited to have her return!

Her talent is amazing, but her spry & spunky personality is one of the best qualities she posses. Among her musical talent...she is also a professional grumpy cat impersonator, cactus make up artist, and Monopoly Tournament organizer.  She enjoys dinosaur erotica, attending euthanasia conferences, and is an expert needlepoint authenticator.  Melody hopes to win the 2015 battle of the bands with her band Vampax Vampons and plans to attend this year's Furry expo in Hilldale Colorado.

This time is where Jordan attributes most of his creative style and musical personality came from.  Throughout the late 2000's Jordan spent most of his time touring and living in the southern US learning more and more about southern roots music and adapting to a life on the road. Now residing in Salt Lake City UT, he can be seen at many of the top venues and festivals in the state playing with nationally touring acts solo as Jordan Young or with his trio Candy's River House.
